I realised there must be a better way by putting the right local trades people direct to you the customer saving time and paper work thus saving the VAT in most cases, on the labour side of things and only paying the VAT on materials passing the savings directly back to you. From start to finish. Or for the self builder from foundations to roof including the signing off at each stage with the building inspector.
